What the details mean
S355 is a non-alloy structural steel with a minimum yield strength of 355 MPa at small thicknesses. “Bright” means the bar is drawn, peeled or ground: it has tighter dimensional tolerances and a clean surface.
Seamless tubes are made without a weld seam and suit high pressures. Welded tubes cost less and are sufficient for many structures. Hollow sections are square or rectangular tubes.
