For an unambiguous material request, the material designation or material number, dimensions, shape and quantity are essential. Terms such as “steel” or “stainless steel” on their own often do not describe the required version sufficiently.
Please state any standard and grade details as well as requirements for surface finish, tolerances or documentation. If inspection documents are required, specify the type with your request, for example an inspection certificate 3.1 to EN 10204.
Product families
These product families are listed on Traydon’s previous website. They are intended as guidance; whether a specific version can be sourced is clarified for each request.
- Sheets and plates: steel plate, thin sheet, strip and checker plate; stainless steel and aluminium sheet
- Bar steel: round, flat, square, angle and hexagon bar, bright steel and quality steel
- Tubes: round, rectangular and square tubes
- Profiles in steel, stainless steel and aluminium (including U, T and Z sections)
- Flanges: ANSI, threaded, weld neck, blind and block flanges as well as vessel flanges
- Pipe bends and butt-weld fittings, including to ANSI
- Wire rod, galvanised steel wire and castings
The condition of goods (new, used, reconditioned or compatible replacement) and their origin are stated per item in the quotation.

The more complete the details, the more clearly the required version can be identified. Not every detail is available for every part – send whatever you have.

- Clarification of details and sourcing options: we review your information and get back to you if anything is unclear.
- Response and, where applicable, a quotation: you receive a response to your request. A request is not an order.
We do not quote general processing or delivery times. Dates are agreed for each individual request.
What we do not promise across the board
- Equivalence of different materials unless you specify the material.
- Inspection documents that were not explicitly requested.
- Deliveries abroad are subject to review under export control and sanctions regulations.

Is “stainless steel” enough as a specification?
Usually not. “Stainless steel” covers many materials with different properties. Please state the material number or the requirement from which it can be derived.
Which documents are needed for a material-specific request?
Material, standard, dimensions, quantity and the required type of inspection document. A material list or drawing helps to capture several items completely.
Where can I find information on a specific delivery date?
Delivery dates depend on the version, the source of supply and the quantity. They are stated in the quotation or in the response to the respective request, not as a general figure on this website.
