Electrical & electronics

A similar housing or a partially matching part number is often not enough to select an electrical component. A useful request includes, among other things, the manufacturer, the full type code, the ratings, the connections and, where applicable, the hardware or revision level.

For spare parts for existing machines, a photo of the nameplate and the exact designation of the previous component help. Special requirements, such as the degree of protection or a required approval, should also be stated in the request.

Product families

These product families are listed on Traydon’s previous website. They are intended as guidance; whether a specific version can be sourced is clarified for each request.

  • Cables
  • Switches
  • Control units
  • Signalling equipment
  • Frequency inverters
  • Relays
  • Rotary encoders

The condition of goods (new, used, reconditioned or compatible replacement) and their origin are stated per item in the quotation.

Typical applications

For guidance only, not as a statement of suitability:

  • Replacing defective or discontinued components in existing machines
  • Components for control cabinet and machine conversions
  • Replacement parts for electrical maintenance

What we need for a request

The more complete the details, the more clearly the required version can be identified. Not every detail is available for every part – send whatever you have.

DetailWhat it is used for
Manufacturer and full type codeUnambiguous identification, including suffixes
Voltage, current, frequencyElectrical ratings of the component
Number of poles and connection typeFit with existing wiring and connectors
Housing or designInstallation in the existing space or on a DIN rail
Degree of protection (IP)Operating environment
Hardware or revision levelOften decisive for frequency inverters and encoders
Required approvalsOnly if mandatory for your application – please state them specifically

Documents, photos and nameplate

  • Photo of the nameplate or device marking
  • Photo of the connection side
  • Data sheet or an extract from the circuit diagram, if available
  • Required quantity and unit (e.g. pieces, metres)

How your request is handled

  1. Send your requirement: provide a part number, a photo of the nameplate, a drawing or a parts list.
  2. Clarification of details and sourcing options: we review your information and get back to you if anything is unclear.
  3. Response and, where applicable, a quotation: you receive a response to your request. A request is not an order.

We do not quote general processing or delivery times. Dates are agreed for each individual request.

What we do not promise across the board

  • Interchangeability where the part number is similar but not identical.
  • Approvals and conformity with standards without the manufacturer’s documentation.
  • Parameterisation – such services are not covered by this page.
  • Deliveries abroad are subject to review under export control and sanctions regulations.

Installation and commissioning of the machines and systems we supply are available on request.

Frequently asked questions

Is a similar part number sufficient?

No, usually not. Even individual characters in the type code can change the voltage, connection or function. Send the full code and, if possible, a photo of the nameplate.

What data does a request for discontinued parts need?

The full type code of the previous component, its ratings, connection type and design, as well as the properties that an alternative must meet. An alternative is only requested if you explicitly ask for one.

Can I send a request without a complete part number?

Yes. Describe the part, provide the details you have and attach a photo of the nameplate or a drawing. Incomplete items are taken on for clarification, not silently completed.

Where can I find information on a specific delivery date?

Delivery dates depend on the version, the source of supply and the quantity. They are stated in the quotation or in the response to the respective request, not as a general figure on this website.
